Nicole Shelibat
1:1 Coach
After surviving a childhood full of heartache and trauma, Nicole knew the one thing she wished for was to make a happy home and have someone to belong with.
She thought she had found that in her husband and threw herself into the impossible effort to be perfect so life would never fall apart and she would not be left alone and unchosen again.
Her husband's hidden sexual integrity issues were a slow poison that seeped into every area of life and she worked harder and faster against something she didn't understand was happening but could feel the impact of in her relationship. She tried to be everything and it was never enough and came at a high cost to her heart, values, and health.
Just before her 19th anniversary, discovery shattered everything she had been fighting for and, lost in the shock of this ultimate abandonment, ashamed of what her life now held, and mentally suffering, God led her to the Redemptive Living community to find truth and healing.
It was a long road. After persevering for more than 3 years in hopes of the miracle of restoration with her husband, the safety and care needed was still not present and the marriage ended.
Those three years showed her what was possible, who God had designed her to be, and that He would never leave her or be casual about her care. He was the anchor in life she was looking for.
Out of the comfort God gave her in the worst of her pain, He brought opportunities to walk with others and offer them comfort. She is determined to see freedom and joy happen for others as they realize they are not alone either and there is so much waiting for them no matter what their story holds.
She has a coaching certificate from Light University and is currently studying mental health coaching; but her passion is the precious gift RLW gave her, boundaries and community.
She loves to come alongside others to encourage them in their journey towards clarity and well being, for whatever God's plans are for them, with a focus on boundaries, healthy detachment, connection, and compassion for ourselves.
She lives in Texas, loves adventures, dogs, just about anything involving water and kayaks, and uninterrupted sleep.
She has two adult daughters that are a joy to her heart in every way as she looks ahead to running the rest of this race until she gets to her forever home where her heart is.
