One of the more devastating parts of betrayal is how it impacts our entire being.

Even before we know we have been betrayed, we typically have started to turn ourselves inside out to make sure he is happy, okay, content.  Did we know we were even doing this?  Absolutely not.

Enter betrayal and not only do we grieve our new reality - we also have to contend with the death of ourselves + the death of our marriages.  We find ourselves on a tiny raft, tossed out to sea with the biggest of waves headed our direction, and realize we are a shell of ourselves.  How will we ever get back to shore?

Who am I?  How did I get this all wrong?  Who can I even trust?  Not only does it hurt to not trust him - it also hurts to not trust ourselves.  Or God. Or other women.

The journey back to ourselves is layered and nuanced.  And while we hear a lot about what it looks like to grieve and what it looks like to navigate triggers and set boundaries and ALL the things - what about what it looks like to walk out of this with dignity, worth and a greater sense of self?
