I think what I have loved the most about letting go is this:  giving God space to work in my life!  My eyes are wide open today and yearning for His touch in my every day.  Here is an example of God at work:  “It just so happened” that on my official last day of work, Jason and I had a meeting scheduled with a local church to discuss supporting them as they provide hope for those dealing with sexual integrity issues.  Actually, it was after multiple emails and at least one reschedule that we were able to finally land on a date that worked for everyone.  Anticipating the meeting and especially during the meeting, I realized something.  God was saying:  yes Shelley, I understand what you are giving up (career), but look at what I have for you!  I believe it didn’t “just so happen” but rather it was God showing up in my every day and pushing me along when I didn’t think I was strong enough to move forward! When is the last time you felt God touching your every day?  Could it be that this is happening every day, multiple times a day?  Write it down and remember it for the future.
