Wife. Mom. Encourager.
I’ve been married for 13 years to my husband, Jason and we have three little boys, Truman, Harrison and Norman. My entire world changed 10 years ago when I confronted Jason and demanded the truth about his secret life of infidelity. Some of my darkest days after knowing the truth were also days that I’ll never take back because it was in this time that God revealed himself to me in mighty ways. Little did I know, Jason’s recovery would be the impetus for me to start to look honestly at my life, my past, my brokenness and seek healing and wholeness. It has been a long journey for me and in the last couple of years I have felt God stirring deep within my soul. In late 2011, I felt a clear calling to surrender my plans and run after His. In a lot of ways, I’m still not sure exactly what that *plan* looks like. But there is an overwhelming peace in my day to-day as I say “yes” to vulnerability, “yes” to joy, “yes” to loving my three boys, “yes” to supporting and loving Jason, “yes” to encouraging women and “yes” to pursuing health and wholeness.
I received a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma in 2000. In 2009, I earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. I thought I wanted to go to Denver Seminary and pursue a counseling degree but God had other plans. He surprised us with our third little boy, Norman, whom was born in June of 2013. (and I said “Yes!”)
