We are in the midst of this right now. My husband seems to be responding the same way, usually well now. I wonder if it is okay to show him this or if that might be counter productive.
I’m so grateful for you guys! Thank you so much for continuing to unpack and guide us through this messy process. From the beginning stages through the many many years of recovery and rebuilding. Thank you for the hope you give and authentically show us.
I think many of us were already messed up emotionally from Family of Origin relationships. So, for me, I arrived already hurt, insecure, and fearful, but willing to connect. I’m trying to become grounded after a lifetime of trauma. I try not to be too hard on myself and see how he’s trying, too. If I lose it, I’ll often apologize just to hold myself accountable and show him my heart by staying vulnerable
